The Fijian Broadcasting Corporation (FBC) has today announced it will continue to air all Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s matches live in the 2024 and 2025 seasons of Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
The matches will air live on its free to air channel, FBC Sports.
This is an extension of the previous agreement signed by FBC and rights holder, Fiji Rugby Union of the 2022 and 2023 season, which allowed hundreds of thousands of Fijians the opportunity to follow the journey of their own Super Rugby Pacific Club.
Last season was history-making year, making it to the quarter-finals appearance in just their second year in the competition. FBC TV was there to beam these key Fijian Drua moments like these to fans and audiences all over Fiji, and I’m delighted to confirm that we’ll continue doing the same for the next two seasons.
FBC Director Television Operations Vinal Raj said: “We’re thrilled to extend our broadcast deal with Fiji Rugby Union to bring all Fijian Drua matches live to our audience. The Drua continue to win the hearts of fans, with their skills, passion, and unique playing style; we know fans are buzzing to seeing more of this again.”
Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans said: “It’s wonderful that FBC have renewed their broadcast rights deal for another two seasons. The renewal of the broadcast rights with FBC ensures our people never miss a Drua match live on free to air TV. It’s how many of our fans, including the families of our players follow every moment of every match, and this is very important to us.”
Fans can catch the live coverage of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s first match against the Blues in Whangarei on FBC Sports on Walesi at 4.35pm.
