The Fijian Drua is pleased to announce a series of exciting curtain raisers featuring the Drua Development at the first three home matches of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

“The fixtures present a valuable opportunity for the Development Squad to gain much-needed match exposure. Securing game time for the squad is a priority and three quality matches lined up against strong opposition will help our younger players build experience. We also thank the participating teams for agreeing to these three matches. The curtain raisers are a great addition to the Drua matchdays, and fans will get double the value and enjoy two games on the same day.”
Nemani Nadolo-Kuridrani | Fijian Drua Development Coach
“We are incredibly proud of this collaboration and grateful to the Drua for making this match possible,” Chan stated. “Our pathway exists to bridge the gap to the professional level, and testing ourselves against fringe Super Rugby talent is the ultimate benchmark. This is more than a game—it’s a platform for our players to impress Drua selectors and potentially alter their career paths. By combining veteran experience with our U20s, we are securing the future of our players and Fijian rugby, and we look forward to working with Drua to establish this as a regular fixture on our calendar.”

“We are honoured and excited to be part of the curtain raiser fixture for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua vs Hurricanes match. This is a great opportunity for our union, our players, and our community to showcase our talent on such a big stage and to be associated with the Fijian Drua brand.”

“For the Vinod Patel Ba team to play the Drua Development as a curtain-raiser in a Super Rugby fixture is a huge honour, especially with the venue being the historic Govind Park, which was originally built 50 years ago in 1976 and named after a former mayor of Ba - Kishore Govind. The initiative aligns with Ba Rugby Union’s wider goals of developing rugby while supporting the community, education, and player pathways. BRU believes the match will strengthen ties with the Fijian Drua and act as a catalyst for provincial rugby development, while extending appreciation and a warm welcome to the Drua Development team ahead of the 14 March fixture.”
